Who Can Reserve
- Only Chartered Scouting America units (Cub Packs, Scout Troops, Venture Crews) may make reservations.
- Individual families cannot reserve facilities.
- Non-Scouting groups must contact the Camping Department if and when off-Council reservations open.
District and Council Events
Reservations for district or council-level events are not made through the standard weekend reservation system. Event organizers should submit a Short-Term Camping Resource Request to reserve facilities and resources for these events.
What You Can Reserve
Camp Minsi offers a variety of facilities for weekend camping, training events, and unit activities. Availability varies by season and program schedule. Detailed site information, amenities, and pricing are available through the reservation system.
Overnight Accommodations
Choose from cabins, winter tents (tabins), and Adirondack shelters based on your unit’s size and the season.
Campsites & Tenting Areas
Select from established campsites for patrol or unit camping, including lakeside and seasonal tenting areas.
Outpost / Backcountry Sites
Plan a rustic, hike-in camping experience at one of Camp Minsi’s outpost or backcountry sites.
Program & Activity Facilities
(Day Use Only)
Reserve facilities such as the Dining Hall, ranges, pavilions, fields, and gathering areas for meetings and training.
Hiking & Day Use
Explore Camp Minsi’s trail system and outdoor spaces for day hikes and unit activities.

How Reservations Work
Weekend camping and facility reservations at Camp Minsi are managed through the council’s online reservation system. The process is designed to be straightforward and consistent for all units. The online reservation system reflects current availability and is the official source for reservable dates and facilities.
Reservation Process
- Reservations must be made online.
All weekend camping and facility reservations are completed through the online reservation system. Reservations are not accepted by phone or email. - Reservations open on a scheduled date.
Each year, reservations open on a designated date and time. Units are encouraged to plan ahead and reserve early, as availability is limited. - Reservations are tentative until payment is received.
Once a reservation is submitted, it will remain tentative until payment is made within the required timeframe. Unpaid reservations may be released and made available to other units. - Availability is limited by council programs and events.
Certain weekends may be unavailable due to council events, training programs, Order of the Arrow activities, summer camp preparation, or other operational needs.

Camp Use Expectations
To help ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all groups, the following policies apply to all weekend camping and facility reservations at Camp Minsi.
Vehicle & Parking
Vehicle access is limited to designated parking areas unless otherwise approved. Units should plan accordingly for loading, unloading, and transporting gear within camp.
Alcohol & Controlled Substances
All reservations are subject to Minsi Trails Council and Scouting America policies regarding alcohol, controlled substances, and conduct while on camp property.
Pets & Animals
Pets are not permitted on camp property, except for service animals.
Fees, Payments & Requirements
Fees for weekend camping and facility reservations at Camp Minsi vary based on the facilities reserved and the length of stay. All reservations are subject to council policies and operational requirements.
Fees & Invoicing
- Reservation fees are established annually by Minsi Trails Council.
- Once a reservation is submitted, an invoice will be issued through the reservation system.
- Fees are based on the facilities reserved and the approved dates of use.
Payment Requirements
- Payment is required to confirm a reservation.
Rental invoices must be paid and received by the council office within 10 days of the invoice date.
Reservations not paid within this timeframe may be released.
Payment details and the mailing address are provided on the invoice. Checks should be made payable to Minsi Trails Council. - Reservations remain tentative until payment is received.
- Payment must be made within the timeframe listed on the invoice.
- Unpaid reservations may be canceled and released for use by other units.
- Reservations not paid within the required timeframe may be released without notice.
Accepted Payments
- Payments must be made through the methods supported by the council’s reservation system.
- All payments are processed by Minsi Trails Council.
Unit & Program Requirements
- Reservations are limited to chartered Scouting America units in good standing.
- Units are responsible for ensuring all participants meet Scouting America registration, insurance, and Youth Protection requirements.
- Units must follow all Camp Minsi policies, safety procedures, and program guidelines during their stay.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
All weekend camping and facility reservations at Camp Minsi are subject to the Minsi Trails Council Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Unit-Initiated Cancellations
- Full refunds are available when the council office is notified at least 30 days prior to the first day of arrival.
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the council Camping Department.
- Cancellations made fewer than 30 days before arrival are not eligible for a refund.
Council-Initiated Cancellations
- Full refunds will be issued if Minsi Trails Council cancels a reservation due to circumstances beyond its control, including acts of nature, emergency situations, or other operational needs.
How to Submit a Cancellation
All cancellation notices and related correspondence should be emailed to the council Camping Department. Units will receive confirmation once a cancellation has been processed and any applicable refund has been issued.
Closed Dates & Restrictions
Camp Minsi is unavailable for weekend camping and facility reservations on certain dates due to council programs, holidays, and operational requirements. Reservations cannot be made during the following periods.
